Materials & Purchasing Team Leader (Fixed Term Contract 10 months)

If so, we are currently looking for a Materials and Purchasing Team Leader to support the effective and efficient administration of the Materials and Purchasing team at our Alfreton Warehouse.

The Position:
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for efficiently processing parts orders and meeting delivery expectations depending on the stock in the warehouse. You will also be required to use your own initiative to identify and source parts as well as negotiating prices with suppliers at commercially competitive rates. It is the responsibility of the Materials and Purchasing Team Leader to effectively manage a team of three operatives, conducting performance reviews and ensuring that development needs are supported. You will also be preparing and delivering monthly reports on departmental performance, including target achievements and requirements.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Ability to use MS Office
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience within the construction or door industry would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Able to identify opportunities to promote business growth
